NBA Development League Statistician – Springfield Armor (Springfield, MA)

The Springfield Armor Basketball Team of the NBA Development League is searching for game night IDS Statisticians. These individuals would need to both understand the game of basketball and also be technically savvy. The NBA Development League uses IDS Statistician equipment which is comprised of a group of touch screen computers that send the live data, which the statistician inputs, to the website for viewers at home and generate box scores throughout the game.

This is a game day part-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but Not Limited to)

  • Arrive 2 hours before game time
  • Oversee pre-game setup of all stats equipment
  • Compare pre-game input of game officials, rosters, etc.
  • Communicate each game with NBA IDS Help Desk
  • Input all stats and information throughout the entire game
  • Validate all stats throughout the game with IDS program and Official Scorer to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Submit all final game files and documents to IDS Help Desk and Team P.R. Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NBA IDS Statistical Training (provided by the league on a specific date)
  • Must work well with computers
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must understand the game of basketball and the rules and regulations of the NBA
  • Must be available to work on nights and weekends

COMPENSATION

TBD Per Game Stipend.

GENERAL NOTES:

  • The Springfield Armor are located in Springfield Massachusetts and play their home games in the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

START DATE: Immediately
