PORTSMOUTH INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
For the past 58 years, the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has invited 64 of the best college basketball players (seniors) from across the nation to participate in a four-day, twelve game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team. NBRPA members have the opportunity to participate as coaches in this elite tournament held annually..
NBA SUMMER LEAGUE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MEETINGS
Members have the opportunity to serve on a panel to discuss pertinent issues concerning life as an NBA player with summer league teams. 2010 NBA Summer League Player Development Meetings are held in Orlando and Las Vegas.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM JULY 14-16, 2010
Stay involved with the NBA by participating in the NBPA‘s Leadership Development Program.This is your opportunity to stay in the game by getting educated and trained for potential NBA front-office positions. The Leadership Development Program will take place in Las Vegas, NV from July 14-16.
SPORTS CELEBRITY SPEAKER WORKSHOP - FREE
The National Speakers Association (NSA), the leading organization for professional speakers, will host a custom workshop for celebrity sports speakers on July 18th from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Join former Dallas Mavericks player and NSA member, Walter Bond, CSP, as he discusses how he went from an NBA player to establishing a thriving career in professional speaking. Professional and retired athletes who want to improve their presentation skills or learn how to break into the speaking profession are invited to attend this event for FREE.
