The National Basketball Retired Players Association is proud to announce the College Connections program, which will be conducted by Linda Bruno of bruno sports enterprises. The purpose of the arrangement is to provide our members with information and access to careers in intercollegiate athletics.
College administrators and head coaches have been made aware of the program and have the ability to contact Ms.Bruno in the event they have a need for administrators or coaches and have an interest in a filling those positions with a former professional player. For current members to register for the program you must complete the coaching form that is on our website. By completing this form and sending it back to the office, you agree to provide this information to bruno sports enterprises. Based on the information provided and if appropriate follow-up phone calls, Ms. Bruno will make specific recommendations to colleges and universities. You will only be contacted if there is an opportunity for you. This service is free to our members and there is no placement fee for colleges wishing to use the program during a search process.
We plan for Ms. Bruno to conduct a seminar at our annual convention which will include information on the college job market, resume advice and a review of NCAA regulations, particularly in the area of recruiting.
Eventually, it is our expectation that these seminars will be expanded and conducted in our various chapter cities.
bruno sports enterprises was founded two years ago, and has been a firm used for college coaches searches, as well as consulting for athletic departments. Ms.Bruno has been in the business of intercollegiate athletics for over 30 years, including 14 years as commissioner of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
