Huston hosts clinic

NBRPA member Geoff Huston held his "Circle of Friends" basketball clinic at Al Smith Recreation Center in New York City on October 15.
Huston -- who manages the facility for the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation -- and fellow NBA alum Wes Mathews entertained and taught 100 boys and girls the game of basketball as part of the clinc. The event's underlying theme: Through sports and education, you can go anywhere in life.
"I got involved with the City of New York Parks and Recreation Department by coaching and helping the local kids," Huston said. "It was a great way to give back to the community and I really enjoy working with people and trying to help the next generation. The greatest thanks I can get is when a kid comes back and shows me his diploma."
