JOHN THOMAS NAMED VP OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOR TIMBERWOLVES AND LYNX

The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA), the official Alumni Association of NBA, ABA, WNBA, and Harlem Globetrotters players, wishes to congratulate NBRPA member John Thomas on being named Vice President of Community Engagement for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx.

Thomas will be responsible for overseeing the Timberwolves and Lynx community relations efforts, managing and growing the organization’s basketball academy, and developing a NBA/WNBA alumni program.

NBRPA Acting President and CEO Scott Rochelle said the following regarding Thomas’ new position with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx:

"On behalf of the entire NBRPA family, we want to congratulate John Thomas on his well-deserved appointment as Vice President of Community Engagement for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx. John has been a huge part of our NBRPA family throughout the years and his involvement with our organization’s partnership with Ultimate Hoops was vital in the success we have had with them.

I want to thank John for his time, effort, and support with us in connecting former players to revenue opportunities in coaching during his tenure with Ultimate Hoops and for simply being a great leader off the court!

We wish him well in his new position and look forward to watching him succeed in his post-basketball career.”
