2015 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Candidates Announced

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the candidates for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. The award, in its inaugural year, is named after Abdul-Jabbar – a NBRPA member and one of the greatest centers in the history of basketball. The award recognizes the top center in NCAA Division I men’s college basketball. This year’s candidates include:

Damian Jones - Vanderbilt University

Frank Kaminsky - University of Wisconsin

Jarell Martin - Louisiana State University

Kennedy Meeks - University of North Carolina

Stefan Nastic - Stanford University

Daniel Ochefu - Villanova University

Jahlil Okafor - Duke University

Jakob Poeltl - University of Utah

Bobby Portis - University of Arkansas

Josh Scott - University of Colorado

Joshua Smith - Georgetown University

Brad Waldow - Saint Mary’s College
