Game Presentation Manager – New Orleans Hornets (New Orleans, LA)

Reports to: Director of Event Presentation

  • Prepare all of the scripts for our Buzz Patrol interactive team, as well as our game night staff working with the Game Presentation department
  • Manage all elements of Game Presentation
  • Manage the creative and execution process of all on-court and in-game promotions
  • Manage the development of new and creative in-game and in-arena entertainment including video pieces, fan interactive elements, entertainment teams (ie: Buzz Patrol, Jackson Square Jumpers, Hornets Drum Line, Hornets Mini Drum Line, 610 Stompers among others)
  • Manage the Game Presentation department and game night staff
  • Manage our theme night development and execution
  • Serve as Floor Manager on game nights
  • Work with VP of Event Presentation and Broadcasting, Director of Event Presentation and Arena staff to ensure all Hornets facility needs are met, including basketball configuration set-up, event staffing deployment and briefing, premium distribution, back-of-house room allocation and set-up, scoreboard operations, NBA security, etc.;
  • Manage the monthly Event Presentation Calendars providing information on our department activity.
  • Work in conjunction with our Corporate Partnership, Ticket Sales & Service, Basketball Communications, Marketing and Broadcast departments to ensure all contractual elements are fulfilled
  • Assist with PA copy for home game and select events
  • Assist with the creative planning and execution of Hornets video shoots
  • Manage department monthly calendar
  • Manage the planning and execution of our staff orientation for Game Night Staff and Buzz Patrol
  • Ensure that we are keeping updated inventory measures in regards to props, radios and other Game Presentation items
  • Manage and serve professionally as a liaison for the Hornets externally and interdepartmentally with Basketball Operations, Ticket Sales & Service, Community Investment, Corporate Partnerships and Marketing
  • Contribute to the development of our Grass Roots Marketing platform
  • Train other personnel in Game Day Production along with floor management and promotion execution.
  • Interact with NBA league office to utilize league-supplied music, acts, video, as well as develop relationships with team counterparts.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned

  • Must be able to react to change productively and to handle tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and game nights when needed
