DirtySixer Joins the NBRPA for All-Star Weekend

January 31, 2014

Heads-up everyone! This is an announcement not to be missed.

The National Basketball Retired Players Association is immensely pleased to showcase, once again, its partnership with the unique and distinctive, DirtySixer bicycle company during the upcoming All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. Building the only custom bicycle of its kind, made for tall people by tall people, Founder and CEO, David Folch, was brought to the NBRPA’s attention by retired NBA player and avid cyclist Bill Walton. We are excited to see the tremendous attention to detail Mr. Folch has put into his custom, tall specific, sports equipment and we are thrilled to introduce his new line of quality bikes.

During the Legends World Sports Conference last September, NBRPA members and guests got a chance to see, feel, and touch the custom built bicycle. Check out a few of the happy test riders below.

NBRPA Chicago Chapter Vice-President, Emmett Bryant

DirtySixer bikes has created a ground breaking custom bicycle for tall riders, that handle tremendously, looks amazing, and will last a lifetime.

Folch, , 6’6” himself, is really proud of this new partnership, saying “It has been my dream to connect with the NBRPA and put more tall riders and tall athletes on comfortable, safe, durable and good looking bikes. As a tall athlete myself, I know how critical it can be to have equipment that really fits. Making it look great has been the cherry on the sundae. Plus, knowing the proceeds from the auction of the bike will benefit the NBRPA’s Dave DeBusschere Scholarship program makes this even more meaningful for DirtySixer.”

NBRPA Board Member, Johnny Newman

Be sure to visit David at the DirtySixer display in the Legends Lounge (at the NBRPA’s host hotel, New Orleans Marriott) during the upcoming All-Star Weekend. If you’re looking for a great way to stay fit, test ride his bike. We can tell you all about it, but only you can tell for sure how fine a machine is when you ride it. Members and guests attending will have the chance to sign up for the opportunity to win this amazing piece of art on wheels. The winner will be announced at the 2014 Legends Fantasy Weekend at the Mohegan Sun (CT) on April 26th.
