State of the NBRPA Meet and Greet

The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA), the only alumni association comprised of former NBA, ABA, Harlem Globetrotters and WNBA players, will host a special "State of the NBRPA Meet and Greet" at the Marietta Fish Market on May 26. As part of this very special event, NBRPA Senior Vice President of Partnership and Chapter Development Scott Rochelle will convene with former basketball greats to discuss the NBRPA’s mission, the organization’s international and domestic charitable efforts, and develop ways to further strengthen programs that help former players transition to a successful life after basketball.

Players scheduled to appear include:

Mike Glenn, NBRPA Board Member - After his nine year NBA career, Glenn joined the broadcast team for the Atlanta Hawks where he currently serves as the team’s pre and post game analyst. Glenn’s foundation travels to multiple cities showcasing historic African American artifacts and he has written several biographical books on famous African-Americans.
David Naves, NBRPA Board Member – A former member of the renowned Harlem Globetrotters. Following his Globetrotters career, Naves ventured into the business world where over the last 40 years, he has held engineering, management, and executive positions within the rail-car, automotive, and aerospace industries.
Dale Ellis, NBRPA Atlanta Chapter President – A Marietta native and former NBA All Star who played seventeen seasons in the NBA and was named Most Improved Player in 1989. As President of the NBRPA Atlanta Chapter, Ellis regularly hosts charity events and youth basketball clinics throughout Georgia.

The evening will be a fun opportunity to learn more about the NBRPA, to learn of their vision and mission, and to share a good time with former basketball greats. Complimentary light appetizers and drinks will be provided.
