CHICAGO, IL. – The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA), the official Alumni Association of NBA, ABA, WNBA, and Harlem Globetrotters, will host its 9th Annual Legends Conference in Los Cabos, Mexico at the Grand Fiesta Americana All-Inclusive Resort, August 18-20.

Widely recognized as the premier gathering of its kind for former professional basketball players, the Legends Conference is the NBRPA’s annual retreat for members and partners to learn, network, and unite in community service as well as attend seminars to help them transition to life after professional play. All members and guests attending will be required to have a current passport for International travel. Members in good standing for 2017 are eligible for all-inclusive (food/beverage) accommodations at the Grand Fiesta Americana for August 18-20. NBRPA will cover one member plus one additional guest in the same room for the nights of August 18th and 19th. Any reservations for additional guests, nights and/or rooms will be the sole responsibility of the member.

Weather: With nearly 360 days of sunshine each year and a variety of activities from which to choose, Los Cabos is becoming the most popular destination for groups and incentives.

Dress Code: Casual. Jackets, ties and formal attire are not required; however, some nightclubs and restaurants do not allow men to wear shorts or athletic shoes.

Water: The hotel water has been purified; however, it is recommend that guests only drink bottled water.

Banks: Most banks are open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, they are closed on Sundays and holidays.

Money: The basic unit in Mexico is the PESO; in Los Cabos you can pay with US dollars in every store, restaurant and nightclub.
