The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) brought its Full Court Press: Prep For Success program to Houston, Texas as a part of the Mountain Dew NBA 3X Tournament at the Revention Music Center on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday September 25th.

The Full Court Press program aims to introduce participating youth to positive role models in both basketball and life. As a component of the NBA 3X event, basketball and life skills lessons were provided before each day’s tournament tip-off.

Joining former Rockets John Egan and Robert Reid were former NBA standouts Kevin Loder and Ollie Taylor. Bothe Egan and Loder serve as officers for the NBRPA Houston Chapter.

On Saturday, September 24th, the players hosted a Full Court Press clinic in conjunction with the NBA’s Jr. NBA program. On Sunday, September 25th, the players spent the day assisting kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston at the Aquafina NBA/WNBA FIT Clinic with multiple activities throughout the day including on-court basketball drills.
