New NYC Chapter giving back in Brooklyn

June 18, 2013

The NBRPA’s new New York City Chapter is made up of long-time members with a history of giving back to the community in NYC, including Chapter President Tom Hoover and Hall of Famer Nate “Tiny” Archibald.

As part of its community involvement, the chapter will participate in 10 different graduations taking place in the Borough of Brooklyn in association with the Brooklyn District Attorney Office. The ceremonies will kick off June 18, with Archibald serving as the keynote speaker. Archibald will go on to be the main speaker at eight other graduations in the Borough of Brooklyn alongside Hoover. NBRPA members Fred Crawford and Hollis Copeland will also accompany Archbald and Hoover as speakers at the graduations.

While NBRPA Members inspire youth at graduations across Brooklyn, the New York City Chapter will also hold a series of youth basketball clinics in conjunction with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office in late July. Details of this special series will be announced in the near future.
